After losing yet another job, George (Weird Al Yankovic) wonders if there is any career that can handle his outrageous personality. When George's uncle (Stanley Brock) hands him the deed to a local TV station, George creates a series of television shows based on social satire and hyperactive humor, with the help of his best friend, Bob (David Bowe).

Sandra, a young mother who raises her daughter alone, pays regular visits to her sick father. While she and her family fight tooth and nail to get him the care he requires, Sandra reconnects with Clément, a friend she hasn't seen in a while. Although he is in a relationship, the two begin a passionate affair.

Set in occupied France in 1942, Persian Lessons follows Gilles (Nahuel Pérez Biscayart), a Belgian Jew, who narrowly avoids sudden execution by swearing to the guards that he's Persian, not Jewish.
