When a young boy named Sosuke rescues a goldfish named Ponyo, they embark on a good old fashioned fantastic journey of friendship and discovery. That is, before Ponyo’s father, a powerful sorcerer, forces her to return to her ocean home. In her quest to become human and reunite with Sosuke, Ponyo accidentally begins to make serious waves that threaten to throw the whole world out of balance.
