Die Hard

A New York City police officer tries to save his estranged wife and several others taken hostage by terrorists during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.

Yes, it’s a Christmas movie! NYPD cop John McClane’s merry plan to reconcile with his estranged wife over Christmas is thrown for a serious loop when, minutes after he arrives at her office, the entire building is overtaken by a group of German terrorists. With little help from the LAPD, McClane sets out to single-handedly rescue the hostages and bring the bad guys down in a hail of gunfire and wisecracks.

"The very pinnacle of the '80s action movie, and if it's not the greatest action movie ever made, then it's damn close. 5/5" - Empire Magazine

"The granddaddy of a whole genre of action films still remains sharp, tough, and exciting." - BBC.com

"It's good, dumb fun." - Washington Post
