Oct 26, 4:15pm. A young Israeli ex-soldier, Yoav, flees the pain of his country to Paris in hopes to escape his national identity with only his Franco-Israeli dictionary to help him get by. Synonyms challenges ideas about identity, both national and personal, while Yoav tries to immerse himself in the new french culture on only a couple of francs a day.
